Mosaic Baptist Church has a foundational belief that life with Jesus is much richer and more beautiful than life without Jesus. Following Jesus should not just be our greatest priority, it is our greatest privilege.
What is your Next Step?
At Mosaic we know each of us are called to live by faith. That means each day we trust Jesus and we let him influence everything.
Below is a number of ways that you can take a step of faith, a step that will help you to live out your faith in a richer, deeper and more authentic way than you thought possible.
These are not the small steps we take everyday, they are the larger steps that help to build a life of regular spiritual rhythms, a life built upon Jesus.
It all starts with getting to know the real Jesus. Here are several ways to connect:
Visit one of our Gatherings
Our congregations are communities of people who gather because they have one thing in common, Jesus. Each of our gatherings are a great way to learn more about Jesus and about what it means to follow him.
Our congregations would love to meet you and are more than ready to help you feel welcome.

Watch a Sermon Online
A great way to learn more about Jesus, God, the bible, Christianity and our Church is to watch sermons from our online catalogue.
You can search our YouTube Library and find messages from our Page and Evatt congregations.
Read the Bible with someone
Have you ever thought that you should read the bible for your self rather than rely on what others say? Would you appreciate a friendly non-judgemental space to ask the questions that matter to you? We have just the people to do it with.
Find a time that suits you and take one hour per fortnight to discover what the bible has to say to you.
Attend an Alpha Group
Alpha is a space for open conversations about life’s big questions—What’s the meaning of life? What happens next? Is God even good for the world?
We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to explore faith, ask questions, and share their perspective.
Alpha is a series of sessions that dive into the Christian faith, with each talk tackling a different question to spark meaningful conversations.
Make Jesus #1 in your life
There is no-one like Jesus! He has the potential to change your life for good, in ways you haven't even considered yet.
If you are ready to make Jesus a permanent part of your life then we want to celebrate with you and walk with you.
Get Baptised
Baptism is a public declaration you can make to let everyone know that you have decided to follow Jesus. It is a powerful moment in life to recognise who Jesus is and how he has changed your life.
We would love to talk with you about baptism and if it is time for you to take the plunge. It all starts with a conversation.
Jesus invites us to follow him; to learn about who we are, and how we can be the best version of ourselves.
Regularly Gather
You can't please God living disconnected from His people. He designed us to live together in order to both give and receive. It is how we experience His love and also express it.
That is why you need to find your people. People you can do life with, people who will point you to God and people who will encourage you.

Events are a great way to connect with others and be enriched by what they have to share.
We have events for all ages whether it is a games night for the family or a spiritual retreat for your soul.

Establish a Rule of Life
A Rule of Life is about habits rather than goals. The end goal is to commit to a sustainable system of healthy, spiritual habits. These will create the space and time you need to do a number of things:
Get your priorities right
Spend time with God
Reflect on what God is saying
Be an active participant in your formation.
There is a process to help you establish a Rule of Life that is not a burden but a blessing, a truly personalised road map for your life that helps you to put God first.
Join a Life Group
Following Jesus is so much easier when you can find other like minded people who you can share life with, have fun with and get real with. Life is full of ups and downs and Life Groups offer a small community of people to journey with you.
We have multiple small groups that meet during the week in homes across Belconnen and Gungahlin. We are sure there is one that is waiting for you.
Find Prayer Partners
Jesus modeled a life of prayer, which is a life that is dependent upon God. Praying can be hard at times, so many things compete for our time and head space. Why not make it a priority and lock in a time to pray with others.
There are multiple ways to make prayer partners at Mosaic, from larger prayer gatherings to smaller prayer buddies. You just need to take the time.
Receive Prayer Ministry
If you want to find healing, grow in faith, and step into lasting change, Prayer Ministry may be for you.
Many people feel lost, weighed down by past wounds, and unsure of how to move forward. Maybe you've prayed, sought help, and tried everything, but nothing has truly healed the hurt.
We believe real healing happens when you invite God into the process. Through Prayer Ministry, we help you uncover the root of your pain, hear God’s voice in your heart, and finally step into the freedom and peace He has for you.
You don't have to dress like Jesus or eat what he ate, just live a life of honour and purpose with God.
Find Your Purpose
Jesus lived with a purpose. He came to fulfill the plans that God had made for Him.
What are God's plans for your life? How has he designed you to make a difference in the world? Do you know how He has gifted you?

Jesus loves His Church, he goes as far as describing it as His bride. And we love the Church God has brought together at Mosaic, it is a great place to live like Jesus.

Invest Financially
We believe we serve a God who is the ultimate giver. As followers of Jesus we believe we should reflect the nature and character of God in giving.
We give time, energy, and money. Something significant happens when we give – we become focused on something or someone other than ourselves.
At Mosaic, we encourage all followers of Jesus to support the work we do here together, seeing our support as one of the ways that we support what God is doing in our community.

Become a Member
Jesus was committed, He was all-in.
If you are a follower of Jesus Christ and feel a call by the Spirit to be a part of Mosaic Baptist we would love to explore your becoming an official member. Don’t be put off by the “official” part, all that means is that you wish to encourage us by affirming that you too wish to belong here, and also to have the opportunity to contribute to decision making and the future of our Church.

Sign Up to BDC
BDC stands for Building a Discipling Culture. It is essentially our main goal and we would love everyone at Mosaic to be familiar with it.
Joining a BDC cluster is a commitment to explore how God wants each of us to make disciples. From being Spiritually Conspicuous with your family and friends, to knowing how to have spiritual conversations and read the bible with someone. It explores all you need to live life as a disciple maker. The great part is that everyone can do it and it is not as scary as you might think.
Read the Bible with someone
People are more open to spirituality than you think. Do you have friends that would be interested in reading the bible with you? Not sure? Then why not ask someone with these words, "I'm looking for someone to read the Bible with and I thought of you,would you be interested?"
Share Your Story
Your story is a powerful example of Gods love at work in the world. It has the power to encourage, challenge, provoke, instruct, connect and bless.
If you feel your story of God at work in your life needs to be shared we want to help you. We have a number of ways to help you share with those at Mosaic and with our broader Canberra community. It is not as daunting as you might think.
Get involved with Cross-Cultural Activities
That might sound extreme, but there are so many ways you can get involved in sharing Jesus with people from other nations, locally and internationally.
Pray for Mosaic's cross-cultural missionaries and learn more about them.
Support our Mosaic's Cross Cultural work specifically.
Go on a short term-trip to visit one of our cross-cultural workers.
Consider if Jesus is sending you into cross-cultural environment, locally or internationally.
Join the Cross-Cultural Team that coordinates our cross-cultural ministries.
Study for Ministry
We are so blessed to have resources available to us in Australia that others could only dream of. From degrees in theology to online courses in specific areas of ministry. If you are serious about sharing your faith with others then you might consider formal studies.
We partner with Morling College, a Baptist theological college that has equipped people to see the world through God's perspective for over 100 years. They educate people who are studying just for interest all the way to people who are considering entering full time pastoral ministry.
