Community Engagement

Mosaic Baptist Church has a diverse range of community engagement programs designed to make a tangible impact in the life of people and Canberra.

Through volunteer-driven efforts and partnerships with local organisations, we extend our hands to meet both the spiritual and practical needs of our neighbours.

Be it English classes, youth mentoring sessions, or support groups, our initiatives aim to uplift and empower.

We believe that by serving others, we embody what Jesus was all about, not only in deed but in spirit.

These opportunities allow every member to actively participate and witness the change that a unified community can inspire.

We warmly encourage you to take part alongside us and experience the profound joy found in serving with love.

What's community about?

Since 1972, Mosaic Baptist Church in Canberra has been known as a welcoming place where community and faith grow together.

We offer a wide variety of activities, such as English lessons, creative workshops, and Men's sheds. These programs are designed to help people connect in meaningful ways and offer support to one another.

Our activities focus on bringing people together, fostering connections, and encouraging mutual aid. Join us to discover faith and friendship in an environment that is led by Christ and cultivated by a caring and supportive community.

Kid's hope

Kids Hope mentoring has impacted over 20,000 Aussie kids since 2004. Our simple and effective model provides social and emotional support to empower children to thrive in school and life.

How do we help?

Better academic results

You can’t fill children’s minds if their hearts are empty. A consistent mentor makes it possible for them to succeed academically.

Better well-being

Children become more optimistic, positive, develop better coping strategies and stronger relationships with the help of a supportive mentor.

Better outcomes

Mentors encourage confidence in kids by giving them opportunities to succeed. This often leads to better life choices and healthier behaviors later in life.
