Kids' Ministry
At Mosaic Baptist Church in Canberra, our ministry evolves to support children and families in our community.
We focus on creating a safe, enriching space where children can thrive in every way. We respect parents and carers as the main guides in a child's faith journey, honouring their role. Our goal is to build a lively, supportive community around them.
We believe in a caring environment where each child and family feels valued and empowered on their spiritual journey. Join us in nurturing faith together in a welcoming, Christ-centred community since 1972.
Busy Bees Playgroup - Midweek
Busy Bees is a vibrant playgroup for children aged 0-5 years old, and for their parents or carers.
We invite families to come and be an active part of a supportive community where parents can connect and build new relationships and kids can interact with each other and engage in creative, active and cooperative play.
It's a warm and welcoming environment, and we would love to have you come along.
Our time together includes:
free play,
outdoor play,
art and craft,
music and movement, and
morning tea.
When and where
Busy Bees Playgroup meets on Monday and Friday mornings from 9:30-11:30am, during school terms, at Page.
The groups may be full, or near capacity, so if you are considering coming for the first time, please contact the coordinator at busybees@mosaicbaptist.org.au if possible to ensure that we can fit you in.

Sunday Mornings
Page 9:30am congregation
Crèche (children 1-5 yrs old)
A supervised crèche program is available for children under the age of 5.
Kids' Ministry (School years kindy to year 6)
Kids' Ministry is offered each week of the school term. We alternate between meeting in small groups and meeting as one large group named Thrive. Our small groups are relational and focus on understanding the Bible at a deeper level with same age peers. At Thrive we focus on creating a safe and fun filled active environment for kids to engage in games, stories, and creative expression that helps them wonder, explore, discover and express their growing faith in Jesus.
Evatt 10am congregation
The Evatt congregation has Kids' Ministry on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.
On the 3rd Sunday of the month, we also offer a group specifically for teenagers.
The aim of these groups is to explore the Bible at a personal level with volunteers who engage in a relational ministry that supports intergenerational connection.
The 4th Sunday of the month is an intergenerational service where all ages are encouraged to participate in a creative service that promotes interaction and learning together.
Gungahlin congregation 9.00am
The Gungahlin congregation has Kids' Ministry every week during the school term. The Kids' Ministry is open to ages 2-12 and focuses on small group time and exploring the Bible at a personal level.
Youth @ Mosaic
Mosaic is a community that is passionate about investing in young people.
We are blessed to have a vibrant community of youth, who love getting together to have fun and do life with each other.
We also have an amazing leadership team – people who are passionate about hanging out with youth and helping them explore how to live life to the full.
We believe in the power of relational ministry and encourage our youth leaders to regularly connect with young people outside of the ministry space.
Weekly Youth
Our youth ministry exists to serve young people in variety of ways. We provide a variety of spaces for young people to get together with leaders and their peers, depending on where they are up to in life:
EPIC Youth
Epic Youth is a community of young people in years 7-10 at school. We meet on Friday nights using a small group model of ministry. We also make space for some fun and games, snacks, and opportunities to chat about life and faith with leaders & friends.
We’re always keen for new people to come and join in, so grab a flyer from any campus for more information.
When: Friday nights, 7-9pm (weeks 2-9 of the ACT school terms).
Where: We normally meet at Mosaic Page, but sometimes we meet offsite for special events.

The Shack
The Shack is a space at Mosaic Evatt where kids & youth can hang out in a safe, supervised environment. It is open on Fridays from 3pm on the same weeks that Epic runs.
The Shack is supervised by our youth leaders, and offers a space to deepen relationships and learn music and tech skills as well, for anyone interested.
If young people also wish to attend Epic, they can be transported by leaders to Epic and dinner will be provided.
Young Adults
The Young Adults community aims to create a space for connection and growth together, as we navigate life as Christians, sharing experiences and empowering each other through fun community.
So, are you between the ages of 18-35? Why not come and check us out at our monthly gatherings.
Young Adult Life Groups
Our desire is to have all young adults participating in Mosaic Life Groups. We currently have a series of young adults' specific Life Groups offered at various times and locations.
Men's Ministry
Join Mosaic Baptist Church in Canberra, where men can deepen their faith through real and meaningful connections with others.
Activities
We organise retreats, father-son camps, and offer courses for daily life challenges.
We also run 'Benchmark Blokes', informal gatherings where men support each other. These are not Bible studies, require no homework, and are about enjoying good company. Meetings are not held at the church.

Men's Shed
We also support the Belconnen Community Men's Shed, open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings, with an Electronics Group on Thursday afternoons.

Women's Ministry
Mosaic Women’s vision is to grow relationships within the Church and our community through events, Life groups, retreats and opportunities to serve in the Church and the community. We love to encourage, nurture, share and engage women of all ages to find purpose and faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe in empowering women to grow in their relationship with Christ, encouraging them to live purposefully, build healthy relationships and serve with compassion for all people.
We would love you to join us as we journey in faith, celebrating the unique gifts, cultures and perspectives each woman brings to our community.

Seniors @ Mosaic
There are a wide range of activities that might appeal to seniors at Mosaic Baptist Church ranging from friendship, fellowship, learning experience, worship through to prayer. Some of these are illustrated on this page.
Creative Leisure
Creative Leisure provides a variety of crafts in the Page Auditorium on Wednesday mornings from 9:30am to 12:00pm.
There are great opportunities for friendship and social interaction.

Men's Shed
In March 2014, the Belconnen Community Men’s Shed opened its doors to new members.
Our Shed, designed for men, is 15 by 9 metres and fully insulated. It includes a kitchen, air conditioning, accessible facilities, plus woodworking and metalworking tools.
However, it's more than just tools—enjoy a chat or a cup of tea at our meeting table. Remember, it's a MEN's SHED, not just a workshop.

Mid-Week Worship
Usually on the first Tuesday of each month (except January) a Mid-Week Worship Service is held in the Page Auditorium at 2:30pm and followed by afternoon tea.
